                                        Seneca Junction Chorus Wins
its 7th "A Level Plateau" Championship
                                        During Seneca Land's Spring Convention

Seneca Junction Chorus wins its 2nd consecutive "A Level Plateau" Championship, and 7th overall, at the Spring 2010 Seneca Land District Convention held in Rochester weekend of April 10th.  20 men took the stage and held the audience "captive" for their entire performance. Their 1st Place District "A Level Plateau" Championship was a testament to the weeks and hours of rehearsal and performance.

The two songs, "Mississippi Mud" and "When Day Is Done", flowed seemlessly into each other and grabbed the attention of the audience when something happened in between songs.  One of our members, Cliff Carlson, played a man whose "love" had left him after reading about it in a "Dear John" letter handed to him after the completion of the first song.

As Cliff read the letter and was consoled by the men around him, his "character" didn't break throughout the second song, "When Day Is Done".  Many audience members came up to the Chorus after the performance and said how they had become emotional as they watched Cliff and listened to our story.  One lady stood and applauded as she wiped tears from her eyes at the conclusion of our presentation.  We simply gave the audience a moment they wouldn't soon forget.

None of this would have been possible without the hard work and determination of our Director, Skip Berenguer, and his crew behind the scenes; Meaghan Bryant (Vocal Coach), Susan Berenguer (Performance Coach), and Nate Bell (Presentation/Performance Coach). Thanks to everyone that contributed to the success of Seneca Junction Chorus.  Without them, the 20 men on stage wouldn't have been able to deliver another "A Level Plateau" Championship.

"Friends Of Harmony" from East Aurora won the "AAA Level Plateau" Championship, and 1st place overall; Binghamton's "Southerntiersmen" won the "AA Level Plateau" Championship and 2nd place overall, and Salamanca's "Seneca Junction Chorus" won the "A Level Plateau" Championship to finish 3rd overall.  Erie, Pa.'s "Lake Erie Sound" won the District's "Most Improved Chorus" award.  Congratulations to all participants!  Everyone's a WINNER!!!
